I latched onto the internet in the late 90s and taught myself visual and UI design in the amateur web design scene. That is where I learned to make it purposeful and systems-driven, which is still how I work.
My career started in consumer products: smartphones, e-readers, smartwatch wearables. More recently I've joined high-impact B2B startups and brought design thinking to problems that had been solved by engineers alone.
